TikTok Ads support is built into Marketing Kit, but our TikTok for Business app is not set up on marketing-kit.app yet, so the TikTok row on Connections says “not set up on this server yet”. This page describes how it works once it is on; there is nothing to do on your side until then.
What you can ask
- “Spend and conversions by campaign last week, by day.”
- “Which ads had the lowest cost per conversion this month?”
- “List active ad groups with their budgets.”
- “Compare TikTok spend with Meta and Google Ads for the same days.”
How to connect
- Install Marketing Kit: in Claude, the plugin from claude.ai/customize/plugins; in ChatGPT, the connector in Developer mode.
- On Connections press Authorize with TikTok, sign in to TikTok for Business and allow the advertiser accounts you need.
- Ask in a new chat. A good first message: “check Marketing Kit status”.
What it reads
- Advertisers, ad performance reports and campaigns, ad groups and ads with status, objective and budget. Read-only.
- Long periods are split into 30-day windows automatically.
- The token is stored encrypted on the server; disconnecting deletes it and asks TikTok to revoke it.
Limits
- Organic TikTok (videos, followers) is not covered.
Questions
Is it read-only?
Yes. Marketing Kit reads reports and campaign objects and has no tool that changes TikTok campaigns, ad groups or ads.
Does it cover organic TikTok?
No, only TikTok Ads. Organic videos and followers need a separate TikTok authorization that Marketing Kit does not have.
Does it work in ChatGPT?
Yes. Add https://marketing-kit.app/mcp as a connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, on chatgpt.com with Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu; in Business workspaces only admins and owners can turn Developer mode on. The steps are on Install.
Is my data stored?
No. Your TikTok numbers are fetched when you ask and passed to your assistant. The server keeps a short in-memory cache (about 15 minutes, per user) so identical requests are not repeated, and a result too large for the chat waits behind a download link for up to 24 hours, for you only.
