How to connect

  1. Install Marketing Kit: in Claude, the plugin from claude.ai/customize/plugins; in ChatGPT, the connector in Developer mode.
  2. On Connections press Authorize with Meta and choose the Pages to share. Already connected for Meta Ads? Authorize again to add the Page permissions; ads keep working.
  3. Ask in a new chat. A good first message: “check Marketing Kit status”.

What it reads

  • Permissions pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement and read_insights: Pages, posts, page and post insights. No posting or replying.
  • Periods over 90 days are split automatically.
  • Page tokens are derived inside a request and never stored or returned.
  • Optional business_management adds the Pages of your business portfolio.
  • Optional pages_read_user_content adds the number of reactions and comments on posts; their texts and authors are not requested. Without it, posts come back without those counts.

Questions

Is it read-only?

Yes. Marketing Kit reads Pages, posts and insights; it cannot post, reply or change Page settings.

A Page is missing. Why?

It was not selected in the Facebook dialog, or your Facebook account has no role on it. Authorize Meta again on Connections and select it.

Does it work in ChatGPT?

Yes. Add https://marketing-kit.app/mcp as a connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, on chatgpt.com with Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu; in Business workspaces only admins and owners can turn Developer mode on. The steps are on Install.

Is my data stored?

No. Your Facebook Pages numbers are fetched when you ask and passed to your assistant. The server keeps a short in-memory cache (about 15 minutes, per user) so identical requests are not repeated, and a result too large for the chat waits behind a download link for up to 24 hours, for you only.
