RevenueCat MCP for Claude and ChatGPT
MRR, active subscriptions, trials, churn and revenue from RevenueCat, in plain words, and next to installs and ad spend when you ask.
- RevenueCat
Free while in beta
What you can ask
- “What is our MRR, and how many active trials and subscriptions do we have?” The overview, with revenue and new customers of the last 28 days.
- “Trial conversion by month this year.” RevenueCat charts by day, week or month, with the segments and filters RevenueCat offers for each chart.
- “Churn and refunds over the last 90 days, by week.” Also MRR, revenue, actives, trials, conversion to paying, LTV and cohorts.
- “Revenue last quarter: gross, after taxes and proceeds.”
- “Which products does the paywall offer right now?” Offerings, packages, products and entitlements.
- “What is the subscription status of app user 123?” One customer by app user ID; email and other personal data stay hidden unless you ask.
Next to installs and spend
Ask Claude to put RevenueCat next to AppsFlyer installs, App Store Connect downloads or ad spend from Meta, Google Ads and TikTok for the same days, for example new trials per day against spend. Marketing Kit reads each source; the assistant does the arithmetic.
How to connect
- Install Marketing Kit: in Claude, the plugin from claude.ai/customize/plugins; in ChatGPT, the connector in Developer mode.
- In RevenueCat open Project settings → API keys → New secret API key, choose version V2 and give it Read on Charts & Metrics, Customer Information and Project Configuration. Paste it on Connections, or keep it in the Claude Desktop extension settings.
- Ask: “what is our MRR” or “trial conversion last month”.
Access and limits
- Read-only: Marketing Kit calls the reading endpoints of RevenueCat REST API v2, and a key with Read permissions cannot change anything.
- Public SDK keys (appl_, goog_) and v1 keys are rejected by RevenueCat; create a secret V2 key.
- A V2 key belongs to one project.
- RevenueCat allows 25 chart and metric requests per minute per key.
Questions
Is it read-only?
Yes. Marketing Kit only reads RevenueCat: metrics, charts, products, offerings and, when you ask about one customer, that customer’s subscriptions. A key with Read permissions cannot change anything anyway.
Which RevenueCat key do I need?
A secret API key, version V2, with Read on Charts & Metrics, Customer Information and Project Configuration and no access to anything else. Public SDK keys and v1 keys do not work.
Where is the key kept?
Saved on Connections, it is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never shown back except its last characters. In the Claude Desktop extension it stays on your computer and is used for each request only.
Does it work in ChatGPT?
Yes. Add https://marketing-kit.app/mcp as a connector in ChatGPT Developer mode, on chatgpt.com with Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu; in Business workspaces only admins and owners can turn Developer mode on. The steps are on Install.
Is my data stored?
No. Your RevenueCat numbers are fetched when you ask and passed to your assistant. The server keeps a short in-memory cache (about 15 minutes, per user) so identical requests are not repeated, and a result too large for the chat waits behind a download link for up to 24 hours, for you only. Details are in the privacy policy.
